So I hear you say to yourself, “How do I travel and still stay on the 2 Step Plan?”

Our plan was Rome for Christmas and then 3 weeks travelling Tuscany with a quick hop over to Venice. When in Italy, you must see Venice.

Travelling can be daunting to those of us who have food intolerances or anyone on a special diet. However, there is no need to stress about it. Planning ahead is the key to a successful trip and packing enough supplies crucial.

Here are my Top 5 Tips for overseas travel and the 2 Step Plan

1. Calculate the amount of product you normally consume and add extra.
This may seem like a marketing tool, but you never know if you will eat something you didn’t expect or if you will come in contact with some sort of ‘lurgy’ while travelling.  You can always increase the amount you take to overcome these problems.

2. Ensure you pack some in both your carry-on and checked luggage.
You will need to treat your food and yourself and prevent ‘airplane’ contamination while flying and on any stop overs on the way. It also is a great safety net if when you arrive at your destination but your luggage doesn’t.

3. Take spare zip lock bags.
These come in handy for your Pine Crush and DigestEasy powders because unless you are staying in the one place you will not be able to reconstitute as per the directions and you will need to prevent moisture getting into the powders. I took zip lock bags and mixed approximately ¼ teaspoon of Pine Crush into a small bit of water every morning and night and then used Relief as normal. Always ensure you do not drink the local water when travelling. Always drink bottled water.

4. Take a Relief shaker.
You can buy a shaker at any of our stockists or a small mineral makeup jar and fill with Relief to treat your food in cafes and restaurants. This is not 100% perfect but it is better than not eating at all. You can always take some out of the shaker and add to water and drink or even add to olive oil and pour over salads, vegetables, meats, stews and sauces.

5. Take a letter.
If you think you that the countries you are visiting have strict rules about what you can bring in, you may require a letter stating what it is you are taking with you. Remember our products are foods with a GRAS (generally recognized as safe) classification. If your doctor is not happy to supply a letter or add it to the letter with all your listed medications and supplements then Biohawk Australia can issue one for you. If you email us at info@biohawkaustralia.com.au with your name and address as on your passport and the Biohawk Australia products you will be taking with you, we can then write a letter for you to carry.

With these simple tips you should be able to continue on the 2-step plan while away. As a family of 4 we had no issues for the 25 days that we travelled staying in hotel accommodation everyday.

HAPPY TRAVELLING!
